Follow the same unique visitor to your website through time.
When a person visits, we check:
- If that visitor is new or returning
- If returning, all clicks that they make are added to their lifetime clickstream history.
This allows you to see a complete history of all clicks of all visits for any visitor.
When a report is generated for you site, for example, 6 months back, we check through each month to see who returned. In this way we make sure nobody is counted twice. Your entire dataset of all recorded visits to your site is used to compile traffic reports. This information is presented to you in the form of reports which tell you how many unique visitors came to your site for any given period.
