Internal page traffic

Postby chaz0r on 20 Apr 2006 15:13

Hello.

I'm thinking about buying the trafficing system, but I've seen on other traffic statistics that it is possible to see how your users navigate on your page (internal navigation).

Wondered if it is possible with Opentracker?

Thank you for your future response :)

hello,

thank you for your interesting posting.

when you refer to internal navigation, what specific aspects of page navigation at you thinking about? Can you provide an example of what you have seen in the past?

What we can do is show you where on a page people click, and when taken in a sequence, this information shows you, literally, how a person clicks through a site, from start to finish.

This was exactly what I was refering to. Sorry if I wasn't specific in my description.

Where can I find that type of statistic in the "stats overview" ??

Hello Chaz,

You were specific enough, it's just that because we think about tracking all day, we tend to be a bit over-focused, and see two+ answers to every question.

The reporting feature that you are looking for is called Clickstream Reporting, and is located under the Visitors section.

You can see clickstreams ordered by all these classifications;

online & recent visitors
first time visitors
returning visitors
referred visitors
visitors by search term
entering
exiting

under each one, you will see a list of green & red puppets - these all indicate unique visitors on your site. dark green are still there, light green are most likely inactive, and red have departed (10 minutes of inactivity).

click on any puppet, and you will drill-down to that person's clickstream through your site.

when you are logged in, you will find the above list here;

http://www.opentracker.net/login/overview.jsp

you can also get there through the left-hand navigation, by hovering over 'visitors'.

please take a look, and post any further questions.
